    UKSPAR safety valves — reliable system protection against excess pressure

    A pressure relief valve (PRV) is a critical element of piping systems that is responsible for automatically relieving pressure when the permissible value is exceeded. Its main purpose is to prevent accidents, explosions, and equipment destruction.
    UKSPAR products are engineering-savvy solutions for water, steam, gas and liquid pressure systems. Safety valves of this brand combine precision operation, ease of adjustment and compliance with international safety standards.

    What is a safety valve used for?

    Full-lift safety valves Fig. H110 and proportional Fig. H111 are installed in pipelines, tanks, boilers, heat exchangers, compressor systems and anywhere where the operating pressure may exceed.
    Main areas of application:

    • hot water supply systems (boilers, heating stations);
    • closed heating systems;
    • steam boilers and heat exchangers;
    • tanks for storing compressed liquids and gases;
    • oil storage facilities;
    • compressor equipment;
    • technical gas and steam supply systems;
    • chemical, food and energy industries.

    In the event of an emergency or automation failure, the safety valve relieves excess pressure by opening automatically, thereby preventing an explosion or breakdown.

    Principle of operation of the pressure relief valve (PRV)

    The valve consists of a body, a spring, a plunger (plate) and a control mechanism (lever or automatic). In normal conditions, the spring holds the plunger in the closed position until the pressure in the system exceeds a set threshold.
    Algorithm of work:

    1. The operating pressure in the system increases.
    2. When it reaches a critical value (set in advance), the pressure overcomes the force of the spring.
    3. The plunger rises - excess pressure is released.
    4. After stabilization, the plunger returns to its original position, and the valve closes hermetically.

    This process occurs automatically, without operator intervention, and allows you to maintain a safe operating mode at all times.

    Types of UKSPAR safety valves

    UKSPAR offers direct-acting, spring-loaded valves. Models are available for water, steam, technical gases and other media.

    Materials for manufacturing UKSPAR safety valves

    UKSPAR safety valves Fig. H111 (proportional) and Fig. H110 (full lift) are made of high-quality steel, resistant to high pressure, temperatures and aggressive environments. Every detail of the design is selected taking into account durability and safety of operation.
    Components and materials:

    • Body - EN-1.0619 steel: durable, resistant to high temperatures and loads.
    • Seat - stainless steel EN-1.4021: guarantees tightness at the point of back pressure.
    • Plate - stainless steel EN-1.4021: withstands frequent opening/closing cycles without deformation.
    • Guide — stainless steel EN-1.4021: ensures precise rod travel without distortions.
    • Rod — stainless steel EN-1.4021: maintains rigidity even under prolonged load.
    • Spring - stainless steel EN-1.8159: heat-resistant, with a high elastic life.

    This combination of steels provides resistance to temperatures up to +250°C, corrosion protection and reliability in industrial conditions. Each UKSPAR valve meets the requirements of international safety standards and can be used in water supply, heating, steam systems, chemical and petrochemical processes.

    Performance and technical parameters

    All UKSPAR safety valves are factory calibrated and can be adjusted to different operating pressures within acceptable limits.

    Typical specifications

    Technical parameters:

    • Tightness class: "A".
    • Maximum pressure: up to 1.6 MPa.
    • Temperature range: up to +250 °C.
    • Type of medium: water, air, steam.

    Installation is allowed only in a vertical position.

    Types of safety valve connections

    For ease of integration into the system, UKSPAR offers safety valves with flange connection. This is a classic solution for industrial and heating systems, which provides:

    • connection reliability at high pressure;
    • ease of installation and dismantling;

    The flanged version is ideal for steel and cast iron pipelines, tanks, boilers, steam systems and facilities where tightness and vibration resistance are important.

    UKSPAR safety valve diameter range

    According to the technical table, UKSPAR Fig. H111 and Fig. H110 safety valves are presented in a wide size range:

    • Minimum size: from 20 to 32 mm - used for compact installations, boilers, small tanks.
    • Middle segment: from 40 to 125 mm - universal models suitable for most heating systems, steam generators and technological equipment.
    • Maximum dimensions: from 150 to 250 mm - for large tanks, boiler rooms, industrial steam networks and pipelines.

    Each size corresponds to certain parameters of length, height, and flange holes, which allows you to accurately select a model for a specific system. Full information is provided in the size table on the website.

    Advantages of UKSPAR safety valves

    UKSPAR brand products stand out from their counterparts thanks to their combination of quality and reliability.
    Main advantages:

    • High operating accuracy. Thanks to adjustable spring assemblies, the valve opens at a clearly defined pressure without delays or oscillations.
    • Versatility. They work with various media: water, steam, air, technical gases. Suitable for industrial, residential and commercial facilities.
    • Durability. Materials are resistant to temperatures, corrosion, and mechanical wear. Service life with proper operation is 10 years or more.
    • Protecting equipment and people. A pressure relief valve prevents explosions, depressurization, and the collapse of pipelines and tanks. This is critical to the safety of the facility.
    • Low maintenance costs. The valves are easily disassembled, inspected and recalibrated without dismantling from the system (depending on the model).

    There are dozens of safety valves on the market - cheaper, more expensive, with big names or no name at all. But when it comes to the safety of equipment and people, you can't play roulette. Safety valves from UKSPAR are the result of engineering responsibility, not marketing promises.
