It is recommended to install only one axial compensator between two fixed supports. It is not necessary to install the part in those sections of the pipeline where there are no supports.
In most cases, such elements are considered not unloaded, and therefore, are able to transmit the expansion force to the supports of the structure. All supports located in areas with unloaded elements must guarantee the load from spacer forces, from frictional forces, as well as from the weight of the entire pipeline structure. It is recommended to use unloaded bellows compensators in those areas where it is important to prevent load on the support.
